Ruth’s House Virtual Lunch and Learn Series to Feature Geriatric Care Manager on Oct. 20
LONGMEADOW — The monthly virtual Lunch and Learn series at Ruth’s House Assisted Living Residence announced that, on Wednesday, Oct. 20, geriatric care manager and family advisor Katie Krupka will discuss how working with a geriatric care manager can be beneficial to families. She will give examples of when a geriatric care manager could be a liaison between family members that may not agree upon a loved one’s care, and how to come to a mutually beneficial decision with a loved one in mind.
Krupka owns Home Sweet Home Senior Living Advisor and also works as a aging life care manager with TUCKed In Eldercare, Care Management and Consulting. She has more than a decade of experience working with older adults and their families. She is a gerontologist with a master’s degree from UMass Boston as well as a certified senior advisor and a certified dementia practitioner. Through an empathetic and consultative approach, she advocates for older adults and their loved ones to ensure they have the support and guidance needed to make informed decisions throughout the aging process.
The event is slated for noon to 1:15, and the presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, raffle, and virtual tour. RSVP to Mary-Anne Schelb at (413) 935-1791 or mschelb@jgslifecare.org. An confirmation and Zoom invite will be e-mailed prior to the meeting.
