‘Sacred Gathering’ Slated for Nov. 15

WARE — An interfaith service for those touched by cancer, sponsored by the Baystate Regional Cancer Program at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital and All Saints Church in Ware, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 15, starting at 2 p.m., at All Saints Church, 17 North St. in Ware.

“Based on the overwhelmingly positive response to our prior Sacred Gathering, we wanted to offer this service again for our community to provide comfort to those who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis, whether they be patients, family members, friends or caregivers,” said Nancy Price, cancer program supervisor.

Area clergy and health care professionals will be represented at this ecumenical service. Dr. Donald Higby, doctor of Hematology/Oncology in the cancer program and Deacon of St. Mary’s Church in Longmeadow, will be a guest speaker.

Following the service, refreshments will be served in the parish hall, where there will be an opportunity to meet with clergy, the staff of Baystate Mary Lane Hospital, friends, and neighbors.
