South Hadley Supports Holyoke Drive
SOUTH HADLEY – Holyoke Hospital’s $4 million ‘Yours For Life’ Campaign is getting a boost from South Hadley residents.
Led by Division Chairman James Carey, president of Carey’s Flowers in South Hadley, community volunteers will be seeking donations for the campaign throughout town in the coming months.
The ‘Yours For Life’ campaign is being conducted to help support the hospital’s $11.1 million expansion project. The first floor of the project is expected to be completed this autumn, with the second floor due to be completed during 2004. Since the campaign began last year, $2.8 million has been raised.
South Hadley residents made more than 19,000 outpatient visits to Holyoke Hospital last year, and more than 2,200 visits to its Emergency Department. The hospital also employs 115 South Hadley residents, and nearly 100 members of the Holyoke Hospital Auxiliary Association are from South Hadley.
