STCC, Westfield State to Hold Signing Ceremony Today Announcing Biotechnology Partnership
SPRINGFIELD — Presidents of Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) and Westfield State University will sign an agreement today, June 3, that creates an affordable pathway for biotechnology students with an associate degree to earn a bachelor’s degree.
Under the articulation agreement, students who receive an associate degree in biotechnology from STCC can apply credits toward the requirements for a bachelor of science degree in biology with a concentration in biotechnology at Westfield State.
Westfield State recently created the biotechnology concentration in part to meet industry demand for talented workers.
The signing will take place at 1 p.m. in the Ira H. Rubenzahl Student Learning Commons (Building 19), Room 201, Springfield Technical Community College, One Armory Square, Springfield.
