Subaru’s Annual Share the Love Event Helps Deliver Meals to Homebound Seniors
HOLYOKE — WestMass ElderCare announced it will participate in the 2019 Subaru Share the Love Event as a member of Meals on Wheels America, one of four national Share the Love charitable partners supported through the campaign. Through Jan. 2, Subaru of America will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased to the customer’s choice of participating charities.
As a local participating Meals on Wheels America member, WestMass ElderCare (WMEC) will receive a share of the donation raised by Subaru here in Massachusetts.
“We are thrilled to partner with Subaru to support WMEC’s Home Delivered Meals Program, which provides nourishing food and visits to 1,200 elders in our service area every day,” said Roseann Martoccia, WMEC executive director. “Besides providing vital nutrition and safety checks, Meals on Wheels supports our mission of helping seniors live with independence and dignity.”
Over the last 11 years, Subaru of America and its participating retailers have donated more than $145 million to its charity partners. This year’s Subaru Share the Love Event is on track to push that total above $170 million.
By purchasing or leasing a new Subaru during the Subaru Share the Love Event and selecting Meals on Wheels as your charity of choice, you can help deliver nutritious meals and other important services to Western Mass. seniors who face isolation and hunger.
