The Good Dog Spot to Host Annual Yappy Hour Event on Dec. 7

CHICOPEE — The Good Dog Spot, with locations in both Chicopee and Northampton, is hosting its annual Yappy Hour event and will be donating the proceeds to Rainbow Rescues and Thomas J. O’Connor Adoption Center. This dog- and family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at 35C North Chicopee St., Chicopee.

There is no charge for admittance, and the proceeds from the fees associated with the activities will be donated to the local rescues. Pictures can be taken with Santa, and there will be wine tasting for people, happy tale ale for dogs, vendors for holiday shopping, Leadfoot Brewery beer samples, hors d’oeuvres for pets and people, and more.

“We look forward to this event every year,” said Elizabeth Staples, owner of the Good Dog Spot. “We love that we can provide an evening where our clients can relax and enjoy some holiday fun with their pets and with other pet people. It’s great to see the dogs show their owner around, like, ‘look! this is where I play all day, and these are my people!’ It’s an added bonus that the money raised will support the T.J. O’Connor Adoption Center and Rainbow Rescues, essentially helping dogs and cats who are not as fortunate as ours and as those of our clients.”
