Holyoke Medical Center Wins Patient Experience Program of the Year Award
HOLYOKE — Holyoke Medical Center, an independent community hospital, was recently named the winner of the 2026 Swaay.Health Patient Experience Program of the Year Award. The award was presented at the annual Swaay.Health LIVE event in Foxboro.
The Swaay.Health Awards celebrate the achievements, excellence, and creativity of healthcare marketers, PR professionals, communications leaders, and patient experience advocates nationwide. Holyoke Medical Center was recognized specifically for the hospital’s mobile pre-check process, which allows patients to provide their personal registration information directly and securely through cell phone, computer, in-office kiosk, or iPad. The process begins with an appointment reminder message via text or email a few days in advance with a secure link to the mobile registration.
“Holyoke Medical Center is at the forefront of using technology to improve the patient experience,” said Carl Cameron, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Holyoke Medical Center and Valley Health Systems. “We are very proud of our team, those patient-facing as well as behind the scenes, for working together and creating a better, secure, more private process for our patients.”
As Swaay.Health explained, “this award goes to the provider organization that puts patients at the heart of everything. It’s for the program that turns everyday care into an experience that feels personal, seamless, and respectful. Through innovative technology, compassionate design, and a commitment to truly listening, the winner proves that, when patients feel heard and cared for, everybody wins.”
The 2026 awards program was highly competitive, making the recognition particularly meaningful.
“Winning a Swaay.Health Award is no small feat. We received hundreds of high-quality nominations. This year’s winners were truly the best of the best,” said Colin Hung, editor-in-chief at Swaay.Health.
Added Swaay.Health founder John Lynn, “Swaay.Health has always been about lifting each other up. We feel it is our duty to share the good work being done by others so that we can all learn. The 2026 winners are inspiring.”
