Cutchins Expands Neurodiversity Services with Acquisition of Fields Center

NORTHAMPTON — Cutchins Programs for Children & Families announced the acquisition of the Fields Center, a community-based program serving neurodiverse children, youth, and families in Western Mass.

This first acquisition in Cutchins’ history marks a significant milestone in its commitment to integrating a broad range of services for vulnerable children and families with a wide variety of needs and goals. As families continue to face increasing and overlapping needs in the areas of neurodiversity, behavioral health, trauma, and mental health, the Fields Center broadens Cutchins’ ability to deliver coordinated, family-centered services.

Founded by Jennifer Bogin, the Fields Center is recognized for neurodiversity-affirming behavioral supports, caregiver education, and consultation for schools and families. Bogin, a former Cutchins board member, will now serve as vice president of Neurodiversity Services and lead the program’s next phase in collaboration with Cutchins’ CEO and senior leadership team.

Recognizing the intersection of neurodiversity and mental health, Cutchins is broadening its services to provide coordinated, neurodiversity-affirming support for children and families. By integrating this expertise with trauma-informed mental healthcare, occupational therapy, art therapy, and family-centered services, Cutchins is building a comprehensive system to help children thrive at home, in school, and in their local communities.

This acquisition reflects a shared vision that children and families deserve coordinated, compassionate care that honors their strengths and reduces barriers among mental health, neurodiversity, sensory needs, and family support.

Under the leadership of Champagne, an internationally recognized expert in trauma-informed care, sensory integration, and integrative healing, Cutchins continues to advance holistic therapeutic practices that recognize the connection among sensory experiences, emotional regulation, neurodiversity, and mental health. Through ongoing research and evidence-based practices, Cutchins consistently demonstrates leadership in innovative care and expertise. The addition of the Fields Center expands access to coordinated, whole-child care for children and families.

A community ribbon-cutting celebration will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 881 North King St., Northampton. Families, referral partners, educators, and community members are all invited to experience the newly integrated Fields Center through sensory-friendly activities, meet the clinical team, and celebrate this milestone in expanding support for children and families in Western Mass.
