Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament Slated for Aug. 17
HADLEY — TommyCar Auto Group announced that its 12th annual Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, Aug. 17 at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow. Money raised supports neuro-oncology research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since its inception, this annual golf tournament has raised more than $1 million.
“My brother Tom and I started this charity golf tournament to honor the legacy of our dad,” said Carla Cosenzi, TommyCar co-owner. “He passed away from a brain cancer in 2009, still dreaming of a cure. We’re proud to be able to keep his dream alive by supporting the world-class research that is ongoing at Dana-Farber.”
The scramble-style tournament features a ‘Tee Off Against Cancer’ shotgun start. Players will enjoy 18 holes of golf and exciting on-course activities. Sponsorship packages range from $50 to $15,000, and foursomes start at $1,250.
