Umanzor Joins Mary Lane Hospital Staff

WARE — Mary Lane Hospital announced the addition of Rene A. Umanzor, M.D., a specialist in Endo- crinology and Diabetes. He recently began seeing patients in the Outpatient Specialty Services Dept. at the hospital.
Umanzor received his medical degree from the Autonomous School of Medical Sciences of Central America in San Jose, Costa Rica.

For his postgraduate training, he spent time at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and VA Medical Center, completing fellowships in Endocrinology and Metabolism and Geriatric Medicine. Prior to that training, he completed his residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Wor- cester.

Umanzor is board-certified in Endo-crinology and Metabolism, as well as in Geriatric and Internal Medicine. He is a full-time, hospital-based physician from Wing Memorial Hospital/UMass Memorial Medical Center.
