West of the River Regional Collaborative Vaccine Site Opens at ESE
WEST SPRINGFIELD — The West of the River Regional Collaborative Vaccine Site has begun vaccinating residents at Eastern States Exposition’s Gate 1 Transportation Center Tuesday.
Massachusetts residents who meet current state guidelines for COVID-19 vaccinations can make appointments through www.townofwestspringfield.org. There is a link to the state pre-registration site as well. Inoculations will be with the Moderna vaccine and the site will have the ability to administer 1,250 vaccines per day.
Regional partners will be able to set aside up to 25% of the available vaccines for residents of West Springfield, Agawam, Westfield, Southwick, Tolland and Granville, the communities that comprise the collaborative. According to West Springfield Mayor Will Reichelt, towns are assigned a specific day, in a similar fashion as the town and city days at The Big E beginning April 26. For appointments on those days, residents may contact their city or town or visit www.townofwestspringfield.org. Those without computers can dial 211 for help making an appointment.

The ESE vaccination site will be open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Appointments will be made available every Wednesday online at www.townofwestspringfield.org for the following week. Appointments are required for this vaccination site. Please arrive within 15 minutes of your appointment time. Early arrivals will not be permitted at the site and late arrivals will be required to reschedule appointments.
