Westfield State University to Present Continuing-education Offering for Nurses

WESTFIELD — The College of Graduate and Continuing Education at Westfield State University will hold a continuing-education offering for nurses on evidence-based practice on Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Conference Center at Western Massachusetts Hospital. “Evidence-based Practice: Calling Out the Sacred Cow” will be taught by Jessica Holden, assistant professor of Nursing and RN-to-BSN program director.

Participants will gain insight on next steps and how to incorporate these practices into their procedures. One nursing contact hour will be offered to those who attend to learn about the evidence-based practices and their significance to nursing practice and healthcare delivery.

Following the program, Westfield State University staff will discuss the application process, transfer credits, and coursework for the RN-to-BSN degree program. The completion program is designed for licensed registered nurses who have an associate degree in nursing and wish to further their education.
