Work Opportunity Center Holds Zoom Anniversary Celebration for Robert MacDonald

SPRINGFIELD — On June 16, a Zoom anniversary celebration occurred to honor Robert MacDonald, executive director of Work Opportunity Center Inc. (WOC), for his 40 years of leadership at WOC.

WOC provides services to individuals with developmental challenges. These services include community integration, work skills, and community employment. WOC has facilities in Agawam, Springfield, and West Springfield.

MacDonald interacted with board members, program participants, colleagues, employees, family, and friends from California to Florida via the Zoom platform. Agawam Mayor William Sapelli, Springfield Mayor Dominic Sarno, and West Springfield Mayor William Reichelt all provided proclamations. In addition, MacDonald received a clock engraved with his name and the WOC logo. Following the Zoom event was a reception organized by Mary Akers, assistant executive director of WOC, for MacDonald and the board of directors.
