Assisted Living Locators Partners with One Tree Planted for 20th Anniversary

WILBRAHAM — The Western Mass. franchise of Assisted Living Locators is embracing a green initiative to mark Assisted Living Locators’ 20th anniversary. Joining forces with the reforestation nonprofit One Tree Planted, the local franchise pledges that, for each senior placed in a new home, a tree will be planted in their name.

In celebration of two decades of service in senior care, the franchise is set to donate to One Tree Planted for each senior placement. This donation comes with the added touch of a personalized certificate for the client or their family, honoring their contribution to the environment.

“Our mission has always been anchored in care and community. We’re immensely proud to amplify this commitment to our environment,” said Katie Krupka, Western Mass. franchise manager. “Trees not only purify the air and provide a livelihood to billions, but they also might hold keys to medical breakthroughs. With each tree we plant, we’re nurturing hope for our environment and potentially unlocking solutions for diseases our seniors face.”

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Its projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and environmental organizations to create an impact for nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to restore forests that have been degraded or deforested, provide jobs for social impact, and restore biodiversity habitat. Many projects have overlapping objectives that contribute to the United Nations’ sustainable-development goals. This collaborative effort by Assisted Living Locators and One Tree Planted promises to oversee the planting of thousands of trees across the nation.

Assisted Living Locators, part of the Evive Brands family, offers a no-cost service for seniors and their families, providing expert advice on top-rated in-home care, independent retirement options, assisted living, and memory care.
