Atlas Chiropractic Surpasses Giving Goal in Support of Kate’s Kitchen

HOLYOKE — Atlas Chiropractic in Holyoke set a 2023 giving goal of $5,000 for Kate’s Kitchen, a food-distribution center also based in Holyoke. On Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 10:30 a.m., Atlas Chiropractic will present a check for more than $8,000 to Jennie Adamczyk of Providence Ministries, the parent organization of Kate’s Kitchen, at Atlas Chiropractic’s office on Dwight Street.

For the past 11 years, Atlas Chiropractic, Dr. James McCann, staff, and practice members have donated cash (and, in previous years, food) for the needy as part of its annual patient-appreciation event, in which all practice members are treated in exchange for a cash donation (or, previously, canned goods and non-perishable food items).

Patients voluntarily make an appointment during the month-long appreciation event. In exchange for their donation, members receive chiropractic adjustments. First-time patients are provided with a consultation and exam, including any necessary X-rays and neurological scans, for $99 (normally $220). This money is also donated in full to Kate’s Kitchen. Last year, Atlas practice members donated $4,151.
