Baystate Children’s Hospital’s Golf Tournament ‘Fore the Kids’ to Be Held on June 7

SPRINGFIELD — It will be golf for a cause on Monday, June 7, when the 29th Baystate Children’s Hospital Golf Tournament “Fore the Kids” tees off from an expanded set of three area golf courses.

This year, golfers will drive their carts from green to green at Longmeadow Country Club and Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, as well as the Ranch Golf Club in Southwick.

“Caring for children in our community does not stop due to a national pandemic,” said Dr. Charlotte Boney, chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Baystate Health. “At Baystate Children’s Hospital, we continue to move forward and provide the highest level of care for our young patients. Your support helps us to innovate and continue to deliver state-of-the-art care.”

The tournament is a four-person bramble. Teams are comprised of golfers at all skill levels. Handicaps are not a prerequisite but are preferred.

On event day, golfers at each course will have staggered tee times starting at 9 a.m. Throughout the course of play, golfers will be treated to a variety of hospitality offerings. Following their rounds, 19th-hole sponsor USI will host two receptions offering golfers a complimentary cocktail and hors d’oeuvres, one at Longmeadow Country Club for both Longmeadow Country Club and Twin Hills Country Club participants, and another at the Ranch Golf Club for those participants.

This year’s event will also honor tournament founder and committee chair Adrian Levsky, who is managing partner – wealth management and senior portfolio manager for the Winer Levsky Group. He be recognized for his longtime commitment to the success of the tournament and its continued growth over almost 30 years.

Proceeds from the tournament support the innovative care for young patients beginning at birth, the purchase of kid-sized equipment, and advance research in pediatric health.
