Baystate Mary Lane to Present ‘Making It Through Menopause’
WARE — Area women are invited to attend ‘Making It Through Menopause,’ a special event sponsored by the Spirit of Women Program at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital, on Nov. 8 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., in the main conference room, located on the second floor of the hospital.
Dr. Mohammed S. Ahmed, medical director of Baystate Medical Practices-Mary Lane OB/Gyn, and Lisa Beaudry, RN, certified nurse midwife, will discuss the latest information regarding women’s health issues.
“We invite women to join us as we discuss topics that affect their lives, especially those relevant to the menopause and peri-menopausal experience,” said Ahmed. “We will also discuss the latest information about the link between depression and menopause, osteoporosis, and much more. Women are encouraged to ask questions and learn about health issues that will help them make knowledgeable decisions to improve their overall well-being.”
This special event for women will also include special guest speakers Mary Jones and Debbie Wright. Jones, radio talk show host, whose signature sign-off message to women is Believe in Yourself, will share tips on how to live a confidant and more happy life. Wright, a fashion stylist, will offer the latest fashion tips on how to keep looking your best.
“Menopause is a temporary but health education joined by positive thinking, and a positive outlook can have a lasting impact on you life,” notes Tracy Whitley, manager of Loyalty Programs and the Sprit of Women Program.
