Baystate Noble Ball Supports New Health and Wellness Center

WESTFIELD — It’s about time … to celebrate the spirit of Baystate Noble Hospital. And that’s exactly what attendees did at the 57th annual Baystate Noble Ball on Nov. 4. The “It’s About Time” theme was a nod to daylight saving time, which took place in the early hours the following day.

Playing into the theme was Alice in Wonderland-inspired décor, complete with clocks, Mad Hatter hats, and life-sized gardens. Hundreds of supporters enjoyed dinner, dancing, and a competitive auction, boasting everything from a Cape Cod getaway to local artwork.

Proceeds from the ball will support the new Baystate Noble Health & Wellness Center, located in Westfield. This center will be created to make care — from routine exams to specialty appointments — convenient and accessible. It will be a one-stop, time-saving, and time-sensitive Greater Westfield community resource.

“We are grateful to the attendees and sponsors of the Baystate Noble Ball. Your support helps fuel the work we’re doing at Baystate Noble Hospital each day,” said Ron Bryant, president of Baystate Health Regional Hospitals. “Thank you for helping to keep this vital care accessible in the Greater Westfield area. We are incredibly proud to be part of this community.”

The recipient of the Baystate Noble Spirit award was Dr. Sunny Shukla, chief of Emergency Services at Baystate Noble Hospital. Shukla’s dedication, positive disposition, and leadership were celebrated as part of the evening.

Last year, Shukla was also honored by BusinessWest and the Healthcare News as part of the Healthcare Heroes class of 2022 in the category of Emerging Leader.
