Behavioral Health Network to Distribute Vaccines to Eligible Holyoke, Springfield Residents

HOLYOKE — The city of Holyoke has partnered with Behavioral Health Network Inc. (BHN) to vaccinate eligible residents as part of its health-equity initiative. The vaccines will be available at two sites in Holyoke to eligible residents over the next several days.

Vaccinations for Holyoke residents will be provided on April 9, 10, and 12 at Gateway City Arts, 92 Race St.; and April 13 at the Flats Community Building, 43 Canal St., a building owned and operated by OneHolyoke CDC. Holyoke clinics will administer the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine. To register, visit www.bhninc.org or register directly by visiting bit.ly/holyoke_vaccine to select an appointment date and time.

BHN is also vaccinating Springfield residents at its Liberty Street Clinic, located at 417 Liberty St. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are being administered at this location. To register, visit www.bhninc.org.

Those eligible to receive the vaccine through the BHN partnership include residents ages 55 and up and those with at least one medical condition that puts them at high risk for severe COVID-19, along with all those who were previously eligible.

The vaccine doses are provided through the state’s Vaccine Equity Initiative, which prioritized the single-shot doses to be sent to smaller clinics in 20 of the most affected cities and towns across the state.

The goal of the partnership between BHN and the cities of Springfield and Holyoke is to increase access to the vaccine for those who may otherwise lack access for a range of reasons. Questions regarding vaccine registration can be e-mailed to covidvaccine@bhninc.org.
