BFMC Presents Program on Controlling One’s Healthcare Destiny
GREENFIELD — Senior Class at Baystate Franklin Medical Center will host a program, “How to Put Your Doctor Out of Business,” on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in BFMC’s main conference rooms.
Guest speaker Dr. Seth Kupferschmid, a primary-care physician at BMP – Deerfield Adult Medicine, will lead an interactive discussion on how to seize control of one’s healthcare destiny. While it’s true that everyone needs a primary-care provider to help monitor overall health, there are steps anyone can take to reduce the need for frequent visits. Attendees will learn how to live healthier to reduce their risk or the severity of chronic conditions, like high blood pressure and diabetes; increase their overall wellness; and potentially reduce their reliance on medications. “Bring your questions and your can-do spirit,” Kupferschmid said.
Light refreshments will be served. Pre-registration is required. To register, or for more information on joining Senior Class, call Baystate Health Link at (413) 773-2454 or (800) 377-4325.
