Bites by BFAIR Concession Stand to Relaunch at Windsor Lake

NORTH ADAMS — Since 2016, BFAIR has served the community with quick snacks for their day at the beach at Windsor Lake. After a brief pause in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is coming back this season with fresh faces and a new menu. Bites by BFAIR will be run by students in the Pre-employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program offering a variety of options, including hot dogs, chili, nachos, sweet treats, and more.

The Pre-ETS program is intended to support students in developing the skills needed to obtain and maintain employment in the community. Work-based learning is a vital aspect of the program, allowing students to develop specific job-related skills in a supported environment through a paid internship.

The concession-stand hours will increase in June as the academic school year ends. Starting this weekend, Bites by BFAIR will be open Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m. (for concerts at the lake). The address is 200 Windsor Lake Road, North Adams.

“The Pre-ETS program is a great opportunity for students looking to explore job interests and acquire real-life experience in a supportive environment,” said Kayla Brown-Wood, BFAIR’s director of Day Services. “After a three-year hiatus, we’re excited to return and serve our community by the beautiful lake.”
