Bote Joins Orthopedic Group
PITTSFIELD — Berkshire Orthopedic Associates has appointed Herb Bote, M.D., an expert on knee, shoulder, and sports medicine, to the group of specialists providing orthopedic care to Berkshire County and surrounding communities.
Bote joined the group in May and is in practice with Manuel Yvars, M.D., Laurence Cohen, M.D., John Lyons, M.D., Jeffrey Cella, M.D., Anthony DeFelice, D.O., Robert Greenberg, M.D., and Kevin Mitts, M.D.
Bote most recently served as an orthopedic specialist at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, Maine, and Goodhall Hospital in Sanford, Maine. Previously, he practiced with Central Maine Orthopedics, where he was co-director of the Performance Sports Medicine program and orthopedic director of the Sunday River Ski Resort Mountain Clinic. He was chief of Surgery at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, Maine, where he also served on the Executive Committee. He has also served as a team physician for Bates College, the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, Lakes Region High School, Telstar High School, and Fryeburg Academy.
Bote is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He received specialized training in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery in Salt Lake City as a fellow of the Orthopedic Specialty Hospital. Bote served his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill., and earned his medical degree from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine.
Bote is accepting referrals from throughout Berkshire County.
