Brightside, Behavioral Health Network Collaborate on Outpatient Services

WEST SPRINGFIELD — Brightside for Families and Children and Behavioral Health Network Inc. (BHN) recently announced an agreement that will allow BHN to assume the clinical services of Brightside Counseling Associates (BCA) in West Springfield and School Street Clinic in Springfield.

The agreement includes the effective integration of BCA/School Street programs into the continuum of Outpatient Care Services operated by BHN. The plan calls for all clinical staff and their clients to transfer to BHN’s clinic sites in Holyoke and Springfield within the next 30 to 60 days. Both organizations are committed to the continuity of clinical services for clients and employment for staff.

“The collaboration with Behavioral Health Network will enable Brightside to concentrate efforts on the delivery of residential care services, while helping streamline outpatient behavioral health services in the greater Springfield community. This allows Brightside and BHN to focus on providing the best possible care in each organization’s specialty, while reducing possible overlap of services,” said Linda Foster, vice president of Outpatient Services at Brightside for Families and Children. “In addition, this collaboration will allow clients and patients to continue receiving services right in their own neighborhoods.”
