Golf Classic Raises $38,000 for Baystate Franklin Medical Center

GREENFIELD — Thanks to local sponsors and participants, the Baystate Franklin Medical Center/Lunt Silversmiths 17th Annual Golf Classic, held Sept. 17 at the Country Club of Greenfield, raised $38,000 for the hospital, according to Sandra Sayers, director of Development at BFMC.

“On behalf of Baystate Franklin Medical Center, I’d like to thank our four tournament sponsors, whose contributions were a major reason for the overwhelming success of this year’s tournament,” Sayers said. This year’s corporate sponsors included Baystate Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Health New England, and Lunt Silversmiths, as well as other supporters and participants.

Sayers continued, “many of our sponsors already have pledged very generous gifts to Baystate Franklin Medical Center’s Second Century Campaign. The fact that so many of these generous donors gave additional support to the hospital through the Classic is testimony to the community’s devotion to the hospital.” Funds from the Golf Classic support Baystate Franklin Medical Center’s operating needs.
