Holyoke Hospital Fundraising Campaign Tops $1 Million Mark

HOLYOKE — Holyoke Hospital’s fundraising campaign, “Yours for Life,” recently topped the $1 million mark in donations.
By the end of July, the campaign had raised $1.3 million, as registered on a large campaign thermometer outside the hospital.

The majority of the initial contributions were made by members of the hospital ‘family,’ which is comprised of employees, volunteers, members of the Holyoke Hospital Auxiliary Assoc., physicians, and board members. Designed to improve patient care, the building and renovation project will include the construction of new operating rooms and new endoscopy rooms in order to help the hospital meet rapid technological advancements and the increasing demand for outpatient services.

Other areas which will be included in the project include the patient registration department, front lobby, recovery rooms, laboratory, Cardiology, Anesthesia, Med-ical Records, and the hospital’s gift and coffee shop.

Groundbreaking for the project is slated for Aug. 29.
