JGS Honors Over 100 Employees For Outstanding Service

LONGMEADOW – Jewish Geriatric Services (JGS) employees were recently honored for their hard work and dedication during the ‘President’s Award,’ ‘Welcome To The Family Award,’ and ‘Tenure Award’ recognition ceremony, which was held at the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home. 

The awards were established in 2000 to recognize employees throughout the JGS campus for their high level of care.

This year, Ava Wills, RN at Spectrum Home Health Care, received the “President’s Award-Clinical,” and Meghan Reynolds, Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home, received the “President’s Award-Non-Clinical.” Norman Tworek, LPN at the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home, received the “Welcome To The Family Award,” which is given for the exceptional work of those with less than one year of service.

In addition, 35 other JGS employees were recognized for their nominations in this awards program. They included Michelle Adkins, Phyllis Alston, Rebecca Alston, Sam Baah, Chris Barnes, Judy Bonenfant, Jessica Brown, Jean Bushior, Donna Campbell, Carolyn Carlson, Helen Dacosta, Elizabeth Duquette, Kathleen Fila, Franca Gaudet, Tara Godbolt, Sarah Goodman, Minnie Green, Patricia Harrington, Kelly Keach, Laurie Kenney, Cynthia Laflamme, Laurie Lipscomb, Elizabeth Lumpkin, Nelly Madera, Joan Matthews, Joanne Moran, Antoinette Mosley, Laurie O’Grady, Donna Racette, Ruth Racette, Linda Schlagel, Launa Smith, Patricia Spiegler, Jane Sullivan, and Jacqueline Thomas.

Also, more than 90 employees from throughout JGS received “Tenure Awards” Among them, Elaine Regnier, program nurse at the Wernick Adult Day Health Care Center, was recognized for 30 years of service; Joanne Moran, LPN at the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home, was recognized for 25 years of service; and John Roy, Housekeeping, was recognized for 20 years of service. Staff members were also recognized for 15, 10, 5 and their first full year of service.
