Levy Named Chief Of Medicine

HOLYOKE — Dr. Daniel Levy of Northampton has been elected chief of medicine at Holyoke Medical Center.

Levy began his career as a cell biologist. Following doctoral research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, he was a postdoctoral fellow of the American Cancer Society in the Department of Biochem-istry at Harvard and later a post-doctoral associate in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He then obtained his medical degree from the University of Miami and subsequently spent his internship in medicine at New England Medical Center in Boston. He completed his internal medicine residency in the Harvard Medical School/Mount Auburn Hospital Program in Cambridge.
