’Pulse’ Will Soon Begin Beating

BOSTON — The population is aging. More people are using the health care system. More health care professionals are needed. But there’s a current shortage of essential caregivers, such as nurses, pharmacists, and radiological technicians.

To address the problem, the Mass. Hospital Assoc. (MHA), working with a task force of hospital human resource professionals, has created Pulse, a comprehensive communications and outreach program to engage young people in exploring health careers.

The MHA is in the process of securing funding for the proposal, which will allow the rollout of a new Web site, advertising and community outreach programs. For more information, contact MHA’s Lisa Chiquiar-Robinovich at (781) 272-8000.
