BMA Now Offers Ob/Gyn Services

BELCHERTOWN — Dr. Mohammed S. Ahmed, medical director of Mary Lane Ob/Gyn, now providews obstetric and gynecological services at Belchertown Medical Associates (BMA), a Baystate Medical Practice. New services available for women at BMA include obstetrical care, preconception counseling, adult and adolescent gynecology, incontinence surgery, PMS and menopause management, contraception, and laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery. BMA offers family-centered care from birth to adulthood. Its services include physicals, immunizations, Ob/Gyn, illness and hospital care, minor surgical care such as cyst removal, and simple laceration repair. All of its providers are on staff at Mary Lane Hospital in Ware and have access to adult and pediatric specialists at Baystate Medical Center. Prior to joining Mary Lane Ob/Gyn, Ahmed served as chief of the medical staff and chairman of the Ob/Gyn department at the Naval Hospital-Cherry Point, N.C. He earned his medical degree from Boston University and completed his residency at Baystate Medical Center.
