Nonotuck Resource Associates Welcomes Gretchen Parker as Human Services Director

NORTHAMPTON — Nonotuck Resource Associates Inc. announced the recent hiring of Gretchen Parker, MBA as Human Resources director. Parker comes to Nonotuck with 20 years of experience in human resources, as well as a career spent working with nonprofits.

“I’m very excited to join Nonotuck and am looking forward to getting to know everyone that helps Nonotuck be the agency that it is today,” Parker said. “I really thrive working as a team and helping people attain their career and life goals.”

Diane Basnet, chief financial officer and vice president of Finance & Administration, said Parker is a natural fit for Nonotuck. “Gretchen is a firm believer in leading with kindness. This is a key component of Nonotuck’s management philosophy that sustains our day-to-day interactions and ensures a supportive working environment.”

Basnet noted that “a director of Human Resources is a key role in the agency that assists in promoting culture, compliance, competency, and customer service. Gretchen will lead an amazing HR team and tackle new initiatives such as performance management and coordinating trainings for supervisors across the agency.”

Parker most recently worked as associate director of Human Resources for Highland Valley Elder Services and also worked for LifePath, UMass Amherst, and Franklin Regional Council of Governments. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College and master’s degree from Fitchburg State University.
