O’Connell Development Group to Be Presenting Partner of Western Mass 10, NoHo 5K
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — The Hartford Marathon Foundation announced O’Connell Development Group as the presenting partner of the Western Mass 10, a 10-mile race from Amherst to Northampton, and the NoHo 5K this fall.
The Holyoke-based real estate development consultant group has deep roots across the Pioneer Valley as part of the O’Connell Companies. The presenting partnership aims to help enhance the fall race experience and attract visiting participants to explore and enjoy the region.
“The Western Mass. races are a highlight on our calendar, bringing participants from all over Southern New England together with a supportive local community to enjoy scenic fall backdrops across 10 or 3.1 miles,” said Josh Miller, president of the Hartford Marathon Foundation. “We appreciate the partnership with O’Donnell Development Group to keep this race running strong for years to come.”
Sarah Stine, president of O’Connell Development Group, added that “we are excited to partner with the Hartford Marathon Foundation to sponsor the Western Mass 10 and NoHo 5K. It’s hard to think of a better way to spend a fall day than running across the heart of the Pioneer Valley or cheering and supporting in downtown Northampton.”
In addition to delivering a quintessential New England fall race experience, the Western Mass 10 also supports local causes. Girls on the Run Western Massachusetts is the event’s official charity partner. Runners, walkers, and volunteers are encouraged to support the nonprofit through their race participation. The event also gives visitors a chance to explore local businesses in and around Northampton, including the post-race party in conjunction with Notch 8 Grille.
Registration is open for the 2026 Western Mass 10 and NoHo 5K. To run, walk, or volunteer, visit hartfordmarathon.com/western-mass-10.
