O&P Labs Sponsors Trip to National Conference for Two Patients
SPRINGFIELD — Orthotics & Prosthetics Labs Inc. will sponsor the travel of two of its patients, Tony Frogameni and Mike Quinones, to the National Amputee Coalition Conference on July 25-27 in San Antonio, Texas.
The conference, which is put on by the Amputee Coalition, serves as a community gathering for hundreds of people suffering from limb loss, offering support groups, motivational classes, and hands-on clinics, as well as the opportunity for amputees to tell their stories. Doctors will also be on site showcasing the latest advancements in prosthetic technology.
The amputee coalition is a donor-supported, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to “reach out to and empower people affected by limb loss to achieve their full potential through education, support, and advocacy, and to promote limb-loss prevention.” Its main office is located in Manassas, Va., and it hosts multiple events and training opportunities.
