Pathlight Earns Three-Year CARF Accreditation

SPRINGFIELD — CARF International announced that Pathlight has been accredited for a period of three years for its Adult Family Care programs. This is the first accreditation CARF, an international accrediting body, has given to Pathlight.

Adult Family Care, a MassHealth-funded program, pays family and non-family caregivers for their care of eligible adults with physical, cognitive, or medical disabilities. Individuals who qualify for the Adult Family Care program may remain at home with their family members who provide, in the privacy and comfort of their home, everyday care and support.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and demonstrates Pathlight’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer-review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

According to the accreditation report, Pathlight “benefits from the dedicated guidance of its long-serving board, effective leadership, and enthusiastic staff members who are focused on providing services and supports that optimize the members’ quality of life and promote their meaningful inclusion in their communities.”
