Lift for Life
D & D Fitness Factory in Ware recently sponsored its third annual Lift for Life and 5K Road Race. The event raised money for the subsequent Walk for Champions, an annual event benefiting Integrated Cancer Services at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital. Darryl and Damien Goudreau, owners of D & D Fitness Factory, created their event in memory of their sister-in-law, Donna Goudreau, a victim of cancer. Get with the Guidelines
Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC) has again been recognized as a leader in stroke care, receiving the Get with the Guidelines Gold Plus Award from the American Heart Assoc./American Stroke Assoc., and the Defect-free Care Award from the Stroke Collaborative Reaching for Excellence (SCORE), a partnership involving 56 Massachusetts hospitals, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and the American Heart Assoc. (AHA). Health Pinning
Graduating students in the Clinical Laboratory Science associate degree program pose before the annual pinning ceremony of the School of Health and Patient Simulation at Springfield Technical Community College. They were joined by 89 other graduating students in Medical Assistant, Respiratory Care, Surgical Technology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and the Clinical Lab Assistant certificate program.
