WestMass ElderCare to Celebrate 50th Anniversary with Fabulous 50th Online Auction

HOLYOKE — WestMass ElderCare (WMEC) announced its Fabulous 50th Online Auction, an event commemorating five decades of dedicated service to older adults and individuals with disabilities. This milestone celebration not only highlights WMEC’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in need, but also showcases the generous support of the communities it serves.

Since its inception in 1974, WestMass ElderCare has been a pillar of strength and support for older adults and individuals with disabilities across Western Mass. Its comprehensive services, which include in-home care, nutrition programs, caregiver support, and more, have touched countless lives, fostering independence and dignity for clients.

“The impact of WestMass ElderCare over the past 50 years has been profound,” said Roseann Martoccia, executive director of WMEC. “Our programs have provided vital assistance to individuals, allowing them to maintain their independence and live with dignity. This auction is a testament to the strong bonds we’ve formed within our community and the unwavering support we’ve received.”

The Fabulous 50th Online Auction will feature an array of items and experiences generously donated by local businesses and supporters. From dining gift cards and gift baskets to Thunderbirds, Red Sox, and Bruins tickets, there will be something for everyone to bid on and enjoy. The auction will run from Aug. 8 to Aug. 30, and all proceeds will directly benefit WMEC’s programs and services.

The success of this event is made possible through the generosity of WMEC’s community partners and sponsors. Their continued support enables WMEC to expand its reach and impact, ensuring that it can meet the growing needs of its clients.
