Wing Opens New Audiology Center

PALMER— Charles E. Cavagnaro III, MD, President & CEO of Wing Memorial Hospital & Medical Centers, announce the opening of the new Audiology and Hearing Improvement Center.

“The center utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to provide our adult and child patients the full range of audiological services, as well as the latest hearing aid technologies,” said Cavagnaro. For patients of all ages, the center will offer routine hearing tests, specialized audiological testing, tests for middle ear function, in addition to hearing aids and specialized services such as swim plugs, noise protectors, and musicians’ earplugs.

The program is led by Kirtikant P. Kantesaria, MD, Wing Memorial’s chief ENT (ear, nose and throat) physician, and audiologist Deborah Stroetzel. A primary feature of the new Audiology and Hearing Improvement Center is the implementation of a comprehensive hearing aid program, complete with state-of-the-art testing.
“For any patient who has hearing loss, we will evaluate the patient’s hearing, discuss the situation with family members, and determine if a hearing aid is the proper treatment,” said Kantesaria.

“If a hearing aid is required, Wing offers a full range of digital hearing aids at affordable prices and works with several manufacturers to determine the best product for the patient,” added Stroetzel. When a patient’s hearing condition requires two hearing aids, the Audiology and Hearing Improvement Center offers a substantial discount on the purchase of the second hearing aid.
