Appointments Made for Ruth’s House

LONGMEADOW — Jewish Geriatric Services (JGS) recently announced two new appointments to its team at Ruth’s House – An Assisted Living Residence. Lois R. White has been named executive vice president of the assisted living residence, while Jane W. Sullivan has been named its director of resident care.

White brings a wealth of experience in the assisted living arena to this position and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Ruth’s House. Prior to assuming the role of Executive Vice President, she served as program coordinator for Ruth’s House, a position that she held since coming to the organization in 2003. Before joining the Ruth’s House team, she served as director of Resident Services at Cameron House Assisted Living Community, located in Lenox. She has also held positions at Landmark at Monastery Heights Senior Living Community, Heritage Woods Assisted Living Community and Genesis Eldercare.  Sullivan will oversee the assisted living residence’s staff development initiatives, as well as the Ruth’s House Care Manager team. In addition, she will remain active in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects at both Ruth’s House and throughout the JGS system of care.

Sullivan brings more than 30 years of experience in the nursing profession to this newly created position. Most recently she served as assistant director of Nursing at the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home. Prior to her role as assistant director of Nursing, she held the position of director of Staff Development at the nursing home.
