HOLYOKE – Deborah A. Buckley of Granby has been named chair of the Board of Directors of Holyoke Medical Center. She has been a member of the Medical Center’s Board since 2003, most recently serving as the Board’s vice chair.
A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, she has worked since 1976 at the Goss & McLain Insurance Agency, Inc. in Holyoke. She has been president of that firm since 2001, and in 2004 she purchased the agency.
She is a Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS).
Buckley is currently affiliated with numerous community organizations, including the American Red Cross, Pioneer Valley Chapter — director, secretary; Granby Athletic Association — director; Granby School Committee — chairperson; Granby District Learning Team; Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce — director; assistant treasurer; Holyoke Taxpayers Association — director; Holyoke Rotary Club — past president; Loomis Communities — director, chairperson; and Holyoke Visiting Nurse Assoc. — past chairperson, director.
