Workshop on Awareness, Prevention of Lead Poisoning Slated for Oct. 23

SPRINGFIELD — Square One, Springfield Healthy Homes Initiative, and the Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts will host a free Lead Poisoning Prevention and Awareness Workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the East Forest Park Library, 136 Surrey Road, Springfield. Attendees will learn how to protect themselves and their families from lead exposure and how to connect with resources for lead abatement and education. Refreshments will be served, and children are welcome to attend (activities will be provided). There will be free prizes and giveaways.
