Baystate Health Expands Primary Care Network
SPRINGFIELD — Baystate Health announced continued expansion of its primary care network with the integration of two established community-based practices into Baystate Medical Practices, effective May 1.
The move reflects a strategic investment in strengthening access to compassionate, quality care across Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.
Enfield Medical Associates will transition to Baystate Primary Care — Enfield, and Valley Medical Associates will become Baystate Primary Care and Pediatrics — Springfield. The additions further scale Baystate Health’s integrated delivery model at a time when healthcare systems nationwide are working to stabilize and grow primary care capacity amid workforce and access challenges.
Patients will continue to receive care from their existing providers at the same locations in Enfield, Connecticut, and Springfield, ensuring continuity while gaining access to the broader resources of Baystate Health’s network.
“By bringing these practices into Baystate Medical Practices, we are strengthening our ability to deliver truly coordinated, value-based care,” said Elizabeth Boyle, vice president of Primary Care and Network Development at Baystate Health. “This integration enhances clinical alignment and streamlines care coordination. This integration ensures we can better serve our communities and adapt to their evolving needs, while advancing our mission to deliver compassionate, quality, and accessible care and improve our communities’ health for all.”
