Baystate Home Infusion & Respiratory Services Opens BMLH Branch

WARE — Baystate Home Infusion & Respiratory Services, a non-for-profit company that offers high-quality medical products, personal attention, and reasonable pricing, has opened a store at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware. Located on the first floor of the hospital, next to the gift shop, it offers a wide selection of medical equipment and is staffed by highly trained and dedicated advisors.

“A great advantage to the retail showroom is that customers can view many different personal-care items and also try out a wide range of medical products such as canes, walkers, crutches, hospital beds, wheelchairs, rollators, and transport chairs,” said Gisele Livingstone, customer service coordinator at the store.

“Some medical equipment is necessary for a short period of time, after an injury or illness,” she continued. “Other times it is used to help modify a room to better meet a person’s needs. For example, many people update their bathrooms to include safety items they know will be useful immediately and also as they age. Our store has a tub and toilet display with a variety of products to help keep you safe in your bathroom.”

The store also stocks a wide variety of bath seats and benches, wall-mounted and suction-mounted grab bars, bath mats, and much more, she added. “We also carry home medical products, including digital blood-pressure monitors, foot spas, first-aid kits, and specialty pillows for people who use a CPAP machine to treat sleep apnea. Professional items including stethoscopes, bandage scissors, and CPR masks are also available.”

With trained Sigvaris fitters on staff, the store also offers a wide range of medically approved, Sigvaris compression stockings, socks, and hosiery, which can be effective in the treatment and prevention of a variety of circulation-related conditions including leg or ankle swelling (edema), varicose veins, and aching, tired, or heavy-feeling legs. These stockings are particularly beneficial for those whose work requires them to be in the same position for long periods of time, or if they are on their feet all day long.
