Baystate Ob/Gyn Group Adds Three New Physicians To Practice

SPRINGFIELD — Baystate Ob/Gyn Group Inc. announced that three physicians will be joining the practice on Jan. 1.

 

Drs. Charlene Case, Jennifer Hallowell, and William Goh will be joining Drs. David Shifrin, Howard Trietsch, Kathleen Beith, Elliot Greenberg, Colette Haag-Rickert, and Kevin Fitzgerald, as well as five certified nurse midwives and two certified family nurse practitioners, at the practice, which now has four community offices.

Case attended Wesleyan University for her undergraduate studies and obtained her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baystate Medical Center, and is board-certified in Ob/Gyn.

Born in Singapore, Goh grew up in Honolulu. He graduated from the University of Hawaii and then attended medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Baystate, where he was presented with several teaching awards. He is currently a clinical instructor in Ob/Gyn with Baystate and Tufts, and is board-certified in Ob/Gyn.

Hallowell attended Dartmouth College and earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Baystate, where she was presented with an award from the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons for her outstanding skills. She is currently a clinical associate at Tufts.

“The addition of these new physicians represents our practice’s commitment to providing high-quality, personalized women’s health care to our patients, and by expanding our practice to a fourth community office in West Springfield, we will continue to offer women the convenience of pregnancy and gynecological care right in the own neighborhoods,” said Trietsch. “With the addition of these physicians, we will also be expanding and specializing our gynecologic services and treatment options.”

Baystate Ob/Gyn, which specializes in menopausal treatment options, high-risk obstetrics, ultrasonography, and adolescent women’s health care, in addition to traditional ob/gyn services, also has offices in Springfield, South Hadley, and East Longmeadow.
