CHD Adds To Senior Management Team

SPRINGFIELD — The Center for Human Development (CHD) announced the appointment of Peter A. Vangsness to the position of vice president of Developmental Disabilities.

 

In his role, Vangsness will focus on oversight of four CHD programs that provide highly individualized residential and support services to adults and senior citizens with developmental disabilities: Meadows Homes in East Longmeadow, the Southwick Project, the Outreach Team based in Westfield, and the Ventures program.

Prior to joining CHD, Vangsness served as executive director of Hockanum Industries, a private nonprofit agency that provides employment opportunities for developmentally disabled adults in the Vernon, Conn. region. He has also served locally as the operations manager for Aditus Inc. in Chicopee.

The Center for Human Development is an umbrella agency that provides a full range of fiscal, human resource, legal, information technology, and training supports to more than 60 human service programs across Western New England.
