Community Foundation’s Joanna Ballantine Earns CAP Designation

SPRINGFIELD — Joanna Ballantine, vice president for Philanthropic Services at the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, has earned the chartered advisor in philanthropy (CAP) designation, enhancing her expertise in charitable giving strategies and philanthropic planning to better serve families and nonprofits.

By earning the CAP credential, Ballantine is positioned to work more closely with those wanting to leave a legacy for their families and donors seeking to help sustain nonprofit organizations in their communities. The designation provides a graduate-level framework to integrate charitable giving strategies seamlessly into estate, financial, and legacy planning.

Ballantine has been building relationships between community members and the Community Foundation since 2022.
