Golfers Encouraged to Register for Second Chance Charity Golf Tournament
EAST BROOKFIELD — With just weeks remaining before the 14th annual Second Chance Charity Golf Tournament, Second Chance Animal Services is encouraging golfers to reserve their spots for the event on Monday, July 13 at Cold Spring Country Club in Belchertown.
The annual event brings together golfers, businesses, and animal lovers to support Second Chance Animal Services’ community veterinary hospitals, which provide affordable veterinary care to pets and families throughout the region.
“We’re looking forward to another great day on the course while raising funds to help pets get the care they need,” said Lindsay Doray, chief Development officer at Second Chance Animal Services. “Whether you join us as a golfer, sponsor, auction bidder, or donor, every participant helps make veterinary care more accessible for families and their pets.”
The tournament features a scramble format with contests, prizes, tastings, raffles, lunch, dinner, and more. Golfers will also have the opportunity to compete in a hole-in-one challenge sponsored by Teddy Bear Pools & Spas.
Those who don’t golf can still be part of the event through the tournament’s online auction. Bidding opens July 2 and continues through the close of the tournament on July 13. Supporters can preview auction items now, with new items being added daily. The auction will feature a variety of experiences, gift packages, and unique items donated by local businesses and supporters.
Second Chance is also seeking additional sponsors and raffle or auction donations. Sponsorship opportunities provide businesses with valuable visibility while supporting programs that help pets remain healthy and in their homes.
The event is presented with support from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Teddy Bear Pools & Spas, the Springfield Republican, and Herlihy Insurance Group.
