Home Helpers Collaborates with Other Businesses to Help Seniors

ENFIELD, Conn. — Home Helpers Home Care of North Central Connecticut and Western Massachusetts announced a collaboration with two very different companies — Shop Rite and Powder Hollow Brewery — to keep seniors safe during COVID-19.

Home Helpers has partnered with Shop Rite to provide clients with discounted groceries. Senior clients of Home Helpers Home Care can order groceries from Shop Rite using a discount coupon, and their groceries will be picked up at the store and delivered by a Home Helpers caregiver, or Shop Rite will deliver.

Both Home Helpers and Shop Rite have also partnered with Enfield-based Powder Hollow Brewery to manufacture and supply hand sanitizer for the safety of seniors and their caregivers. In return, CNAs from Home Helpers are working on the front lines by taking the temperatures of all Shop Rite staff before they enter the building as a safety precaution to staff and customers.

These unique collaborations with area businesses are just a few examples of ways Home Helpers is working for clients and the community. The company believes the safest place is at home during these times, as indications show the virus spreads more quickly within facilities or in large group or public settings.
