A Memorable Day

The annual Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk in Westfield drew a record number of walkers to Stanley Park on Sept. 23, along with dozens of vendors and exhibitors. Clockwise from top left: Peter Yaffe, owner of Homewatch Caregivers in Westfield, speaks with a visitor to his booth; Kristin Halls and Jamie Verrochi, representing the Kids’ Place, help children dye leaves as a craft activity; Carolyn Varnadore, a marketing associate with Eastfield Mall, gives away prizes won by spinning a wheel; and Curt Ridge, chief, and Jennifer Stowe, captain, of the state Department of Conservation and Recreation Search and Rescue K-9 Unit, introduce laborador retriever Maggie and golden retriever Emmitt Francis to passersby.
