Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament Raises $103,000

HADLEY — The Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament announced it has raised $103,000 to support Dr. Patrick Wen and his team of researchers in the Neuro-Oncology Department at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In the last seven years, the tournament has raised more than a half-million dollars.

Due to the tremendous support that this year’s tournament attracted, the event was expanded to Crestview Country Club and Oak Ridge Golf Club. The four-player scramble drew 220 golfers and 250 banquet guests. It included a full day of golf, dinner, and a silent and live auction in the evening. AutoTrader was the event’s platinum sponsor.

“This tournament was created in memory of our father, who passed away from a glioblastoma brain tumor. Whether you were a sponsor, a golfer, a donor, or a volunteer, we would like to thank everyone for their participation,” said Carla Cosenzi, president of TommyCar Auto Group. “We are extremely proud to support Dana-Farber’s world-class researchers’ work to reduce and ultimately eliminate the burden of cancer.”
