Gavin Joins Ear, Nose, Throat Associates

NORTHAMPTON — Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) Associates of Springfield announced that John P. Gavin, MD, will practice in its new regional office in Northampton.
An otolaryngology specialist, Gavin treats general disorders of the ear, nose and throat, including head and neck surgery. He also offers individuals throughout Western Mass. access to the practice’s full diagnostic center for hearing and balance disorders and video stroboscopy for diagnosing voice disorders.

Gavin will be seeing patients at ENT Associates’ new office located at 766 North King St. His services there will be supplemented by the five existing ENT associates, physicians Carl Reiner, MD, FACS, Barry Jacobs, MD, FACS, Ted Mason, MD, and Isac Bloch, MD. All physicians are board certified/eligible in otolaryngology and are available in the Springfield and Ware offices as well.

In addition to treating general ear, nose, and throat disorders, ENT Associates offers unique subspecialty care in minimally invasive sinus and laryngeal surgery, reconstructive ear surgery, snoring and sleep disorders, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, pediatric neck masses and airway disorders. ENT is the first practice in Western Mass. to offer cochlear implant surgery.

A native of Troy, N.Y., Gavin received undergraduate degrees from Colgate University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Hudson Valley Community College. After graduating cum laude from Albany Medical College, he served a surgical internship and four-year residency in Otolaryngology — head and neck surgery at Albany Medical Center.
