Jones To Lead Extended Care Federation

WORCESTER — William C. Jones, executive vice president of Berkshire Healthcare Systems in Pittsfield, has been elected chairman of the Massachusetts Extended Care Federation (MECF), the state’s largest long-term care provider association.

His term will begin Jan. 1.

Jones was elected during MECF’s annual meeting and trade show in Worcester last month. MECF represents more than 500 skilled nursing facilities, assisted living residences, and continuing care communities, and has become a strong advocate for health care legislation at both the state and federal levels.
